I left my lights on overnight on my 2001 Dodge Stratus, draining the battery. When I jumpstarted the car, everything was fine except my radio. The radio won't turn on but the lights keep blinking on the equalizer buttons. However, the CD changer connected to the radio seems to work fine, ie it will eject and receive a cd. I tried removing the fuse in an attempt to 'reset' the radio but to no avail. Any suggestions/ideas? Thanks!

Your sterio may be in theftlock mode the dealer can help with this.

 

What was the resolution to this problem?....I'm having the same issue with a 2001 Dodge Neon. Had body work done at the body shop for repairs and got the car back with the equalizer lights blinking. Radio is not working.

Never knew that factory radio would have theft lock... Its factory

 

Well ....I've called 3 dealerships and all of them said they never heard of a theftlock on a factory radio and I could bring it in for $165 diagnostics. Not sure what my plan is....might be cheaper to just buy a replacement radio.

i had a problem with an aftermarket head unit

after a battery disconnect---it would not turn on

....drove it to the shop


then when I turned it on to show the problem ---the damn thing worked

anti theft, but i didn't think it would happen to stockers

could be a unit from a different car purchased in order to return a car to stock

 

in my 99 durango the same thing happened and i found the radio amplifier fuse was blown. different from radio fuse.
