Default Starting problems

Hello everyone!! I am having a problem with my 1993 Dodge Shadow with the 4-cylinder engine. My problem consists of it just won't start. It turns over great, but I don't have any spark. It used to start up right away, but then one day, it would just turn over and not start. Any help is appreciated as I do need this car for daily transportation and I don't have the money to take it to a dealer, as we just had a baby about a month ago. I do have some mechanical ability and I am willing to work on it, so is someone can help or has been in a similiar position, it sure we be great for some input. Thanks again!! P.S. I did look for broken wires and burnt fuses and did not find either.

remove distributor cap and have someone crank the engine.if it turns the belt is ok if not you broke your timing belt.if it turns then unplug your distributor pick-up and on the harness side momentarily short the two pins together with the key on and see if you get spark from the coil.if you do then you got a bad pick-up.if not you probably got a bad coil.good luck.
