my ram that ive only had for a couple of months spun a bearing and im new to the dodge world. can anyone tell me how possible it is to change bearings with the engine in these trucks. i assume the cam bearings are fine even though i have no basis for this so i also assume its either a main or rod bearing. has anyone had any experince with this?

 

If it spun a bearing, it's probably crankshaft time.

 

If you can get the pan off, you can do it with the block in the truck.But if this is a truck you have to rely on I would mic them all.If one had a reason to fail maybe the rest are on their way out.And not very many people stop before they damage the crank.
