Default A/C Switch......

OK I need some tech advice. I went to get in my truck today and with it being like 9098235029 degrees outside naturally I went to turn on the A/C. I turned it on and nothing happened until I turned the **** all the way to full blast and then the air went on. I turned it back down to see if it was just something odd but the air only works if the **** is turned all the way to the right. I was thinking probably just a bad **** or possibly a relay but if it was a relay then the air probably would not work at all. Correct?

Another guy here told me that it may be the blower motor resistor. Which out of these is the most possible? Ballpark repair prices?

Thanks in advance.....

at the dealership we sold more blower motor resistors than we did any other one part (next to oil filters). usually it works on 1 and 4, but yours is just four? and you do mean the fan control right?

Yeah it only works when it is turned up to 4. Do you know what the price of this part is and how much time it will take to install?

hmm..im not sure on the resistor, but if you scroll down to the vendor section, MoparPartsCenter.com has offered excellent prices from what I have seen, and you dont need part numbers. If you go to their section you can post your question and they will answer it, or you can go to their site and look the part up.

If for some reason they cant help you, I can check with dealership connections here.

actually i talked to someone..it lists for 13 bucks, but it is back ordered...part number-4885635AC

let me just drop a disclaimer on this real quick, a guy from another forum looked this up for me, so when you go, have them check the PN before buying it, because i actually thought that they were a little more expensive....i would also still check with moparpartscenter...they usually have discount prices.
