Default My Overhead console is displaying something wierd

On my 1999 Ram, it has the overhead console display. The option that displays:

"Dirrection - Tempurature" now displays:

"Dirrection - Degrees (0-360)"

I didnt do anything to make this change, and in the owners manual it doesnt explain how to change it to read this, or how to change it back to display the tempurature. I did figured out how to change the VAR. I tried every option, tried scrolling through all the options, holding buttons, pressing button. You, the typical stuff you would do to try and change a hidden setting.

Does anybody have any insight? I was able to photo copy a few pages out of a 1998 Ram Service manual about the overhead console. I'll try going through calibration steps when I have a chance.

Default RE: My Overhead console is displaying something wierd

hey, I had a similar problem! It was a cold day, bout 25 degrees F, I brought my truck thru a drive in car wash... when I drove out after the wash had finished, my overhead console said. simply, the direction, N and 0degrees F... nothin I could do made it change from 0 degrees F... I was pissed.. eventually It went back to normal.. slowly... took a day or so... so maybe urs will just eventually turn normal again.. although sounds like its not the case.. my advice would be to not screw with it yourself.. unless u know ur computer stuff.... take it to a dodge dealer and ask the parts dept whats wrong with it... how to fix it.. how much $$, etc... prolly be a cheap enough re-calibration, they can do it with their computerized stuff they have at the dealership.... its really not a big deal... but for a true truck lover.. its little things like that that make ur truck PERFECT.. and when they dont work right.. u feel like ur child is sick! LOL Good luck!
