Problem with new hemi
wanted to know if anyone else is having these problems.... i have a 2005 4x4 ram 1500, at around 1000 miles i developed a "clunking" noise in the suspension. I have taken it to the dealer 4 times and they think that it is the steering bump stops slamming into the lower control arm. Crawled under the truck and looked and there is some serious grinding on the bump stops and control arms. The dealer referred us to Chrysler, who in turn told us to take it back to the dealer (The typical run around). The dealership says that there is no fix for this problem. Then today i was merging onto the highway and the engine stalled (almost got slammed by a big truck on that one) it did it 3 more times right after that. The dealership of course said they had never heard of that problem. I am getting so frustrated with this, i love my hemi, but when you shell out 40k for something it had better run like a dream!

No fix for the problem? I'd say theere is a problem- their service manager is a moron! There's no friggin' way that is normal, and they damn well better be able to fix it, or else you've got a pretty good case to raise some hell with lemon laws and other customer relations avenues. I wouldn't tolerate something like that on mine, and if I were you, I'd park it back there and tell them to either fix it correctly before they try to give it back, or if they can't fix, replace it!
Check and see if the battery cables are tight.
But I would still bring it to the dealer or even take it to another dealer
have them do a electrical check
fuel pump/coils etc and keep going
there until they do and watch them work on it.
It seems that they don't want to fix anything until your warrantie
is up. they want money

Do you have a 4.7? These have been notorious for low idle and stalling. They have a TSB for updating your PCM that fixes the problem.
I had this problem on my 2002 4.7L, it stalled on my twice and stumbled around several other times. Dealer just hooked it to his computer and gave the PCM a new flash.
