Default Is this Stock

I found what I believe is a small amp under the front passenger's seat. Anyone know if this came stock from the factory or was this added. 96 Dodge Stratus ES. Also any info on it would be helpful (see pic). thanks

look at the wirring and connector, you can tell what is stock and aftermarket.

well since i cant really lift the seat out to see any labels, I was just wondering if this was something other people had (assuming they havent modded their Stratus' sound system). Its a tight squeeze and I havent seen any labels. Plus the reason I think it might be stock is that it looks like a tiny little amp that no one would go through the trouble of installing aftermarket. Then again I dont know much about amps. Plus the rest of the stereo system is stock...

if your running the stock head unit and haven't by passed it to another amp (hooked to stock speaker wires) chances are its still running. i believe they are something like 100 or 120 watts. i'll look at the one i took aout of my car and see if it has a rating on it.

thanks, I was actually thinking of putting an AC power converter in that area instead of the amp if its not doing anything. Perhaps I could attach the power converter to the glove compartment somehow since most of them have to be plugged into the cigarette lighter.
