Default 02 Ram Cold Start/Fuel Filter?

On a cold start it cranks a little TOO much. I replaced the spark plugs with split fires and it does a little better. I have been driving it on streets and VERY little on the highway. What is the reason for the poor start. I heard the fuel filter is in the gas tank. Anyone ever change one? Does it need to be changed at 80,000 miles? WHat about fuel pressure and the fuel pump. DO these go bad often. Let me know. Thanks.

Hey there, WELCOME!
Yes the fuel pump is prob. in the tank. It (the Pump) has a screen that usually clogs up. U have to drop the tank and there it is; Can't miss it. The pump will go out.
LMK how it goes........R.V. Oh, sometimes the fuel filter is on the fuel line near the tank.
