The speed rating on tires is for a sustained speed. Usually if exceeded for a period of time the belt will slip or break. I've had it happen and it showed up a few days later. I did have one come apart a day or two later at 65 or 70 MPH, but no big deal if you keep your head and come to a controlled stop.[sm=patriot.gif]
