Yep, that make perfect sense. When I went in to buy my truck 5 years ago, the salesman literally asked me, you are kidding, right? They had to go as far as Tennessee to find the truck that I wanted. As luck would have it, I got it and never regretted getting even when gas was $3 a gallon.

The reason DC doesn't put a manual in cars is very simple. Sales, americans do not buy cars with automatics (remember the group on this forum in VERY tiny compared to the US population). Just ask anyone at a Dealership how many customers come in looking for a manual transmission car. I hate it as much as anyone, I've even compained about it on this board, but until the car buying populous changes their goofy automatic loving ways it just won't change.
