rust help?

my dad has this toyota pickup of his and i was wondering how to get rust out of it without going to the auto store for the rust removers and other stuff

Where is the rust?? if its on the under-body, clean it of all rust, fix the hole, and undercoat it. if its on the paint surface clean it and clear it to be cheap, but a paint job is in order.
