okay so my friend and i just got home- and we were gonna go get some lunch- but when he went to start the durango and its cranking over but its not firing- does anyone know wtf could be happening? We took the positive side off so the ECU can reset

We recrimped the spark plug wires and made sure that they are on there tight- we can smell the fuel........ we reset the ECU, and now wtf do we do- could it be the distributer?

Make sure all sparplugs are connected,
A failed coil pack will do that or a bad distributor,
i was thinking a abd fuel pump but never mind, if you smell fuel then its good.
I suspect the coilpack
good luck

ok cheack your fuel pressure key the car to run the fuel pump should be around 30-50 psi (residual) if good cheack for spark if you got it cheack you tps (throttle position sensor) you should have around 1 volt with the key on and throttle closed if more than 3-3.5volts your pcm thinks you in clear flood mode which would intern keep your fuel injectors from working even with fuel pressure if the case replace it if you need more information message me i can explane in more detail
