Hello everyone;

New to this forum, however I need help. Just bought my daughter a 98 dodge avenger. Great car but the alarm system is not right. There is no keyless remote with the car. However everytime she locks her car she has to unlock it from the passager side. If she unlocks it from the driver side the alarm goes off and there is no-way of turning it off. Can someone tell us if we can get the keyless remote for the car or do we need someone to look at the door locks or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

my freind has a 90s lhs when she does it and car alarm gos off she puts the key back in and locks and unlocks it and it shuts off..

 

You could goto the dealer and have them program a remote for you, its gonna be expensive, but cheaper than having the alarm bypassed and an aftermarket one put in. Maybe $100, which I am guessing on, so don't quote me.
