I just changed my Transmission fluid and filter used Mopar ATF + 4 and Mopar filter car has 50600 miles on it. Most all miles are highway live in the woods. When I slow down from 55 - 60 mph with the brakes the transimission down shifts around 25 mph (1200rpm) didn't do it before i changed the fluid and filter. Do I need to take it to the dealer or is this something I can fix myself.
Thanks

I had something similar happen with my strat. when i started it after the change it got an air pocket. Even though it had fluid that few seconds that it didn't see fluid caused the tcm act up and shift hard on the down shift. Wound up doing a relearn on the tranny and all was fine.

What it does is put the computer back into a learn mode and teches it the shift point over again. It doesn't really reprogram the computer. I took mine to a tranny shop that free dianostic they were more then happy to do the procedure. what it does is have you do several strat having the tranny shift through the gears so the computer can relearn the shift points.
