Ihave a '97 dodge 1500 with a 5.9L V8. Ithas a holley carburator on it. Is this stock or was it originally fuel injected?

Yeah...Holly makes the stock throtle bodies for the rams...lol

the rams all came FI after 94 (accualy was earlier but dont know the exact year. Its a Holly, but its not a carb. to be compleatly sure though look on either side of the intake manafold and you should see the black fuel rails.

yeah its fuel injected, i just glanced at it and saw holley so i figured it was a caburator.
