Default oil pump failure

Has anyone ever heard of an oil pump failure with only a little over 6000 miles? My magnum had a broken rocker arm at 666 miles. Could something have gotten in and caused this? I know there is a filter on the oil pump. Does the Magnum have a conventional oil pump?

I dont think that the rocker caused the oil pump to fail. But the real problem could have caused both of those to fail. I have not heard of an oil pump failing that early on a hemi yet.

I have seen motors get rebuilt and put back together and not have oil pressure with a brand new pump, anything is possible. If you only have 6000 miles on the truck have the dealer fix it under warenty
