Sentry Key won't start car
MY 2004 Magnum won't start. PLEASE, someone help. There is no information by searching this site. My car is in the parking lot of Home Depot and the Sentry Key won't work. The dash lights come on and a light "immobilizer" comes on. The first few times the car would start and run for 2 seconds but now nothing. There is nothing in the owners manual about it. On Chevy's you leave the key in the "on" position for 30 seconds and it resets. I know it's something simple and I know other people have run into this a million times so why aren't there any threads about it? I'm having the car towed and am probably going to trade it in.....it's been nothing but problems.

Do you have second key try it
if it dose not run try this
put other key in to accessory mode so the instrument
panel lights come on Waite 10 sec remove key
place second key in Do the same thing remove it after 10sec put in
the first key and start see if that helps.

There should be something in the manual. It will say how to program the key. Something possibly might have erased it (electronic devices). Kinda like the credit card thing. Anyways otherwise call the roadside assistance they should be able to help you.

RE: Sentry Key won't start car
actually if the car is started with a bad key too many times it locks itself down. the vehicle has to sit for 90 minutes with the key in the run position. dealer scan tools are the only thing that can program keys and will also be able to tell if the skim module is bad.
