Default lifting a 1998 dodge 4x4

I am lookig to lift my truck with adjustable coil spacers and rear blocks. I need to know if I have modify the truck in any way so I don't mess up the steering or something else. I have a stock sport lift right now and was going to lift 4 in in the front and replace the three inch block with a 5 in block. Will this work?

Do Not use the coil adjusters if you are going to be doing any serious off-roading. If you are just going for the lifted look they will work fine for a four inch lift. Make sure you get everything aligned after the spacers are installed. You might want to purchase a drop pitman arm(not sure if thats how its spelled) it will allow your steering parts to wear properly and not premature. Contact Skyjacker for thier SkyKing coil-over kit if you would like a more serious setup. Good luck

Do you know if I need new control arms or should I be fine without if I'm just going for looks?

Your controls will work fine most lift kits (that retain stock mounting for control arms) use a boxed-in version of the stock control arms. The stock control arms are open on the bottom. If you decide to go with the adjustable coil spacers take a look at the bushings on your control arms while your down there. Make sure there are no visable cracks or signs of wear.
