in my 97 ram 5.2 4X4 also the seatbelt light intermitently comes on and off and the airbag light is on all the time and guesses as to why?

 

Check your the seatbelt harness plug under your seat, it may just be loose. Check that, it's common to come undone, get mangled, or anything. Do you have anything under your seats? Do you have a pressure switch under your passenger side seat? My wife's Grand Caravan does and it's on until there's a passenger sitting on it. Those are my .02.
