73 dodge charger no power

Default 73 dodge charger no power

I had resently changed the altenator, about a mounth after i was driving down the road and it back fired. Right after the car went dead. I tryed jumping and still there is no power. Nothing workes no lights ext. What is my next corse of action. How do i trubble shoot this problem.

Make sure the battery did not blow up and that the cables are stil attached.

Sounds like you burned up a fusible link.

some one suggested this to me for my 98 dak, and i could have kicked my self for not seeing it my self. Have you checked the cable from the alt. to the batt or the batt to the block. to check grasp the wire, bend, and if you hear or feel a crunch - replace the cable.
