Default code 1740

This is on a 200 Durango, chck engine light is on also.Its got a 5.9 in it.Does anyone know what might cause this?..Thanks

sorry, didn't see the title - p1740 is tcm error, acording to my books. the old disconnect the batt for 10-15min to reset the computer should tell you if its actually the tcm or just a random voltage drop to the tcm that would cause it to throw a code.

Unhooked batt cables, so far no chk eng. light. no codes either.thanks
