Default 04 HEMI exhaust

HELP!

I have been kicking around diff. styles of exhaust.

1. Non True duels, but duels after the "Y" with two muffs and two pipes out the back

2. 1 muff, duel outs, two pipes going out to the back

Okay here is the issue. I had one Shop say that the best way to do it is doing the number 1 way. More horses, better sound.

Shop Number two says.. that if you do it the No. 1 way... the O2 sensors will read cold in the new hemis.[sm=smiley35.gif]

So.... I called DODGE to get the real answer... they say.. that as long as I have muffs on each pipe that I should be okay. If I were to run "straight pipes with no muffs.. then YES they will read cold, and the light will come on.

Has anyone ran into this "issue"?

I plan on installing a true duel cat-back system. .... i know i know its not true duels.. but.. you can't do that anyway... well yeah you can.. just a little more cost.. hahah

LET ME KNOW MoPar fans![sm=smiley20.gif]

That's funny, I've never heard of O2 sensors that read temperature before. As far as I know they only read the air to fuel ratio.

Like I said.. sounds a little fishy to me. Thats why I was trying to get some opinions on it. On the Hemi, has anyone done a dual cat back system. Meaning, each exhaust manifold has its own pipe going to one of the cats, back to a muffler, then to the back of the truck...

if so, any power gains or losses...

What has been the recomended plan of action on the exhaust question for the new hemi engine?

There was some talk on this topic in the "Intake, Headers and Exhaust" forum towards the bottom of the main forum page. You might find your answers there.[sm=smiley2.gif]
