I was driving home the other day and my 2000 dodge 1500 4x4 5.9 started shaking and losing power i pulled over and the motor was shaking and sounded like it was running on 4 cylinders. I read the codes and i got p0205 so i switched injectors 5 and 1 and then i got no dtcs. So i did a compression check. Cylinder 4 has no compression. But how can one cylinder make my truck only run off of three or four cylinders. I drove it back home from a friends down the street. Then i checked the codes again and now i have p0205 and p0206. I know i have a problem with the no compression on cylinder 4, but when i rebuild the engine and put it in and i dont want it to run the same. Anyone have any advice or know how to fix these codes?

Just an update i pulled the valve cover and the spring was broke along with a bent pushrod. The valve did not get bent. It also fixed the electrical problem, i think it had something to do with throwing the timing off and messing the injector timing up. I put it back together and she runs like a champ!
