i have an 02 ram 1500 4.7 v-8 and recently purchased the srt-10 hood. The hood comes with the grille insert that has the holes in it allowing air to pour into the engine compartment through the scoop. However my local body shop is telling me to get the insert that comes off the srt-10 hood the daytona comes with that is the same only it has closed holes allowing no air into the engine compartment. Should i go with the blocked off grille or the one with the holes in it? Will my engine get soaked from rain/snow/washing it or will i be ok?
