PLASTIC RIMS ON 06 1500 Q/C
HAVING PROBLEM FINDING SOMEONE TO BALANCE THE NEW RIMS ON MY 1500 THUNDER ROAD,IT SEEMS THAT THE PLASTIC WHEEL COVERS PREVENT THE PROPER ALIGHNMENT FROM THE WHEEL TO THE BALANCEING MACHINE AND NO ONE AROUND HERE CAN BALANCE THE TIRES JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE HAS THIS PROBLEM
Never had the problem,
are the shops too stupid to take them off?
all they gotta do is take them off, do the job, and put them back on
the covers won't affect the alignment or tire balance enough to speak of

THEY WANT COME OFF SO ISEE YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, IT DOES EFFECT THE BALANCE AS TO YOU CANT GET THE MACHINE TIGHT ENOUGH ON THE RIM OR YOU WILL BREAK IT AND A NEW RIM IS $505.00 ANY BODY ELSE THAT HAS HAD EXPERINCE WITH THE NEW RIMS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ELABORATE
IT SEEMS THAT THE PLASTIC WHEEL COVERS
even so they won't be plastic.
What would it take for someone to buy a rim that breaks when you align it for over $500?
thats like buying tires with vent holes pre-drilled.
or turn signal fluid
As for the not knowing what I'm talking about...
My Uncle is a body man for the biggest Dodge dealer around,
My sister is working on her mechanics degree.
I wouldn't recommend insulting somebody if you can't get your own truck aligned.
I'm stepping out of this post
