Default trouble code

I have a problem with the guage cluster on a 2002 dakota quad cab with the 4.7L and auto trans. All the guages have gone flat. The truck will run and drive with no aparent problems. most of the trouble lights come on after 7 to 10 seconds. The odometer begins to flash and then reads " no bus" . I can not get any other trouble codes up on the odometer. Does any one have any ideas? Thanks for any help.

Default RE: trouble code

I took it in to the dealer today. There was a broken conector pin in the harness where it enters the pcm. Of course it took a long time for the tech to run it down. Now the big problem, some how in this mess the transmission module evedently got a power spike and is having fits. At the time of the service it had a CEL code showing no comunication between the PCM and TCM. The shop price for a reman module was 695.00. I said I would have to wait to get that. I decided to check a local wrecking yard, score they have a 2002 with the same power train and a 6 month warranty on electric modules. Price 50.00, however it will need re-programed for my truck. The shop says they "can't" do that I would have to see if I could send it to " someone else". not a lot of help forthcoming. The kicker is that with all the running around the CEL cleared. I had the shop check it and the comp nows shows no problems? The tech felt it would just come up again, but to wait and see. So while I am waiting to see if it stops playing nice with the PCM does any one know if you can reprogram a TCM ? Or who would be able to do it? Thanks for any help
