Upper ball joints going bad, riding on bumpstops
Alright i'v recently been noticing alot more noise from my frontend, an it's coming from my spindles riding against my bumpstops, so every time i hit a bump all i hear is rubber bouncing lol alright, i read about a recall on the 00 durango's because of their upper balljoints going out an they mention nothing of the 99's, i realise i can raise an lower my frontend just by cranking the torson bar's, which i dont really care to do because i dont want to end up shimming the frontend to compensate for the camber, being - or + either way too much or either one will cause uneven an quicker tire wear along with alignment issues.. Question being how hard is it to replace those ball joints, an since i'v been riding around on bumpstop's do u guys think i should just goahead an replace the spindles along with it because after a certian period of time, all that weight coming down with no place to go will end up bending/breaking the pinion bolts on the spindles..
Thanks!
*edit* i'v also already replaced my shocks with 3 1/4 ton monroe quietride's front and back, so i know it's not the shocks

Uppers are easy. 3 small bolts and the ball joint nut. Throw a tie rod separator in between the bracket and the joint smack it with a hammer and voile! If the upper's have never been done before then there will be 3 small rivets. Just shear them off. The bottom's are harder though.
Here is the post I did on it.
