Default Question?

My husband and I just bought a 2001 Dodge Dakota, used from a car dealer ship. We have had it about a month, we have taken it back to them 3 times, because every once in awhile it starts to idle ruff and act like it is running out of gas, then it back fires (loses all power), then goes back to normal. The dealership keeps telling us there is nothing wrong with it, because of course evertime they test drive it, it runs perfect. Has this happened to anybody? Does anybody have any Idea what may cause this? Any sugestions would be great!

Default RE: Question?

Can you tell us anything about the situations that it acts up in? Is the motor hot or cold? Full tank of gas? Half tank of gas? Below half? Before you start driving it? After you've driven somewhere?

A rough idle is hard to diagnose on it's own, because it could be so many different things causing it.

Default RE: Question?

It is just everyonce in awhile, it has been cold and hot, it doesn't matter how much gas you have. That is why we are having such a hard time, all diagnostics read great.
