Please help ,

I have a 1999 Dodge Ram Van 1500 the van has 180,951 miles on it. The engine is a
8 Cylinders 318 Y 5.2L SFI and I need to Id what trans I have in my van. The sticker under the hood list a code DGB - trans 4-spd a
and it list a code DGT - trans 4-spd auto
the code DHA - is listed for the toque conv lock.
There are two stickers on the trans that have the numbers
TPKTK149962053 and P52119820AA. Also their is a bar code sticker with the numbers 52118 548876 2 A4 B2 05/28/99 18 14 The pan is a fourteen bolt pan.
Auto Zone lists two trans models A500 or 42rh
A518 or 46rh
I,m needing to know what I have so I came go to a bone yard to get a replacement. And or get a new trans

 

Should be the 46RE, because you have the V8. I don't think they were using 46RHs anymore by 1999.

But is there some type of markings to show it is the 46re trans? Or can the dealer tell me from the VIN number /

 

The dealer can tell you from the VIN #.

Fixed, got my answer from dealer with the vin number. It is a 46 RE. Thanks again, also got the van to a trans repair shop local, they are telling me it scans out with electrical trouble. They are also trying to fix. THANKS AGAIN ALL
