Default Help...

My cousins Car wont start and i need some help on what to look for. Dont know the circumstances like whether it wil crank and wont start, or wont crank at all. Im going to check the battery w/ my multimeter, and check some of the fuses, and relays. Is there anything else i can check W/O tearing the engine apart?? The car is a 1996 Grand Prix, or grand am (cant remember), It has almost 200K miles, and she bought it for 700 bucks, so I guess you get what U pay for... But yea any help would be nice.

May be the starter solenoid. No electrical contact. Hit it with a hammer a few times to move it around till it makes good contact if that's what's wrong.

A less than likely chance its the fuel pump.
