Default A/C problems

in my 1999 dodge ram my a/c is doing some funky things... when i select for it to be on the upper vents itll switch between the top vents and the windshield vent depending on how i push on my gas. if i accelerate fast, the air will switch from the top vents to the windshield vents, when i let up on the gas the air comes out of the upper vents. i dont see how or why this would effect the a/c and what not but if anyone has had this problem or knows what it might be reply please.
thanks

You have a vacuum leak somewhere.

Check out the check valve listed in this TSB first: http://dodgeram.info/tsb/1996/24-01-96a.htm It's the easiest to check. If that's not leaking/bad, then the problem will be a lot harder to fix.

Yes, replace the one-way vacuum check valve, its located near the h-valve, in the vacuum hose
Does anyone know of a forum similar to this one but for Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep Dealer techs only?
