Default How can I keep electical connectors clean?

A few of my senor connectors seems to get dirty from oxidation. When they gauges in question start to fail or completely fail, I goto the sensor related to it and clean the connector contacts. I hate doing this all the time and would like to know if dielectric grease will help prevent oxidation and provide a good connection - don't want something that will act like an insulator.

Two words: Di-electric grease. It's about the same consistancy as anti-seize compound, but is specificy made for electrical connections. Sold at any auto parts store.
