2 cars, same problem.
Rough idle OUT OF GEAR is not a concern for any tech/mechanic/dealer/shop. All late model vehicles are programmed to run very lean at idle and you feel it when out of gear. It can not be fixed since this is operation as designed.
yeah, like they said take it to the dealer let them fix it. If the give you the run around let them know that you will take the matter up with BBB.I've had the same problem before where a dealership would not try to help and that is what i had to do.
The Buick has Coil on Plug system, and the Dodge got a new cap and rotor not 2 months ago.
Yeah, I was reading up on this and found it was perfectly normal for the Buick anyway. (Phew!) The 89' dodge no, but I'm selling it tomorrow anyway, so who cares. I have a habit of shifting into N when I come to a light. I know it's probably not good for the throw out bearing and junk, but I tend to get a new family car every two years, so it's not my problem.
I'm kind of leaning towards selling this van because of how horrible it is on gas. 16.6 MPG is my norm, and my brother's Odyssey gets in the 23 range. I like the size of the Terraza, but it's pretty gutless and thirsty.
Gosh, modern day junk is getting so complicating. Thanks guys for the help!
