Default Transmission Fluid Leak

Just bought a 99 dodge ram 1500, 5.9L, automatic, with 100k miles and noticed a tranny fluid leak at the bell housing. When my buddy followed behind me on the highway, he noticed that it seemed to "mist" from the same location anytime it upshifted after letting off the throttle after a hard accel (passing). Any known issues with this model? (torque converter, front shaft seal?)

Thanks for any help...

Hey I have a much older truck (89 150 318ci). However, I just had the same problem and it was because my transmission mount had broken and one of the fluid lines was leaking transmission fluid badly causing it to smoke and "mist." Perhaps check the transmission cooling line or the fluid line.
Just a suggestion
Brian
