engine swap
I own a 1986 dodge ram charger with a carburated 360 in it. the body is in great shape and was just repainted by my father inlaw and my wife absolutly loves the vehical...unfortunatly the motor is old and very tired. I would like to put in a rebuilt 318 fuel injected motor. does anyone know if the motor and trans would bolt up without an adapter plate and how would i hook things up with a computer and whatnot? any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Fuel injected would be a tricky swap, unless you could find a 92-93 Ramcharger that had a Magnum motor in it.
A better option would be a throttle body injected 318 out of an 88-92 Ramcharger/Ram. Less wiring/computer intervention. As long as it was out of a 1/2 ton truck/Ramcharger, it should bolt up fine. The wiring would be easy to swap over as well.
