Well if you plan on going to the dealership to order a new 2005 Chrysler 300C to your own specs, you might as well wait for the 2006 Chrysler 300C SRT-8 model, due to show up on the autoshow circuit this winter. Word is the Bramption, Ontario plant which currently builds the 300 Series and Dodge Magnum LX platform cars, have a 12 to 16 month wait for special orders!

do you know if this would affect any orders in the works now.
I placed my order on june 10th and was told by my dealer that ,
the build date was june 19th. expect my magnum rt by end of july.

 

Should effect 300C models only.

By the end of June, DaimlerChrysler claims to have sold 40,000 Chysler 300s -- about half of which were the Hemi-equipped 300C's -- and to have a total of 93,000 orders for the car, which was introduced in April

So far, the Magnum seems set to follow the 300's apparent success, with 7,000 units sold and 40,000 orders for the car in June, the month it was launched.

update : as many people have noticed as they wait for the orders to be built. this has effected the magnum also. my ordered blue rt is still in bx status. i have given up on waiting for the blue and took the one and only RT my dealer had. Not all bad , pick up my car monday .

Currently the Brampton Assembly Plant has 91.5 days worth of orders @ 800 units/day.

These folks are working 7 days/wk to try and get the vehicles out to the buyers. The C.A.W. is working on DCX to get a 3rd shift back at the plant to help with the order status.

To give you an idea our plant, Windsor Assembly (Gr Minivans & Pacifica's) is at 26 days of orders at 1450 units per day.

I read in USA today that in the States people are following the auto haulers right to the dealerships and buying them right off the truck. Life span of a 300 at the dealers is less than 3 hours.
