I just put a headunit in my 98 and the radio will do the same thing when you trun the lights on the radio will cut out for a second. But when I turn my lights on the parking light fuse will blow??? I don't have any idea what it is it would have to be in the wires to the radio I would think.

Sounds like you may have connected the radio's illumination and/or dimmer lights to parking lights or dash lights. Disconnect the orange wires from the radio and try turning on the lights again.

That's to both of you btw.
