93 intrepid ES 3.3 oil pan gasket replacement
How difficult is it to disconnect the motor mounts and lift the engine high enough to get the oil pan off to replace the oil pan gasket? Probably a dumb question but do you have to disconnect both motor mounts? Is it possible to remove the sway bar that runs across the back of the oil pan and drop the pan tht way?
I drive a 96 intrepid with the 3.3 engine. About a month ago I replaced the gasket and pan. I didn't want to have to lift the engine, so I tried removing the sway bar linkage on both sides and was able to gain enough room to remove the old pan that way. Just be careful that you're not pulling too hard because the intake pipe makes for a tight fit at the front of the pan. Good luck!
