Problem w/ exhaust leaks on a 318

Default Problem w/ exhaust leaks on a 318

I have a lightly modified 318 and the exhaust leaks like a cive.. I tried everything possable even doubled up the header gaskets still no luck..

anyone have any suggestions....

Forget doubling up the gaskets. Can actually tweek the angle the header seats at. Pull it all apart and clean the headers and heads. Then apply High Temp RTV (orange in color and available at your auto parts store) to both sides of the gaskets and bolt up. Allow it to totally dry before firing up the engine. Did that 20 years ago on my Charger with a similar header leak (and a 318). Never leaked again.

That works ? I thought of it but I didn't think that it would hold up to the extreme temps...
