I was wondering if I could ask for a little help. My wife and I are thinking about buying a 2000 Durango SLT with about 69,000 miles on the 4.7L V8. I don't know a whole lot about Dodge, other than hearing of transmission problems. Is there anything in particular I should look for with this truck? Should I be worried about the tranny at this point? Is there anything I can do to prevent problems with it?</P>

I would just look the car and engine over real well, possibly run a VIN check on it and take it to a qualified technician to have it looked at once more justto be sure.
