So I got both codes - both for the EVAP system - P0440 is the generic code and P0441 tells me that it is incorrect purge flow. Any ideas of quick fixes that I can try? This is an 04 Dakota Quad Cab - V8 - 4x4. No changes in the manufacturers exhaust system. And this code was intermittent for about 2 months and has been on solid for about a week now.

Any help?? Thanks in advance!!

 

p0440 is usually nvld or large vacuum leak....you have no drb111 to test switch with...check for cracked hoses or hose off po440 is general evap failure, p0441 is evap purge system perf ....... NVLD.. steve
