Hello, New to the forum, I hope this is the right area.

I have a 2000 Durango RT 5.9l. I smell a strong coolant odor basically when I have the heater on. I thought it was all of the time but it's been this way for some time now so I think it's just a lingering smell when the heater is off. It's MUCH stronger when the heater is on.

Doesn't really seem to leak anywhere that I can see. Any suggestions? Heater Core?

maybe a small leak in the heater core, that what is sounds like, does your window fog up when the truck is on and its cold out?

 

I haven't noticed any fog or film on the windows, just the smell. And like I said, it's MUCH stronger when the heater is on...

Had someone do a pressure test on it and they found no leaks.
