2001 Dodge Stratus RT - AIS Motor
My car would always shake a little when in neutral. It began to get worse and eventually started dying.
On my 4th trip to the shop, they tell me after four hours of research, my AIS motor ($730)needs replaced. There is a buildup of carbon. Also, my fuel system needs cleaned ($96).
When asked if a cleaning of the AIS motor will fix the problem, since it's a buildup of carbon, they can't answer me. But they'll charge $160 to do it and see.
I'd like to try cleaning this part myself. Does anyone know where to find it and if there is a manual that can help? Any other ideas for me?
