85 van 318 2bbl. have bottom end noise at idle. like a rod or crankshaft endplay. has good oil pressure. 100,000 plus miles. recently purchased.owner said good highway driver. just alittle puzzled. any suggestions. thanks. paul

 

what kind of noise is it? is it clicking?

 

it is a deep sound. possible crank endplay,connecting rod, i have checked converter bolts. this is third van over the years. this is strange noise to me. with good oil pressure. any suggestions helpful. thanks
