My wife just bought a 94 shadow. The driver side door lock will only lock and the passenger door will only unlock. Is this a problem others have faced?

 

Yes the Shadow's locks really suck. My acts on its own sometimes and doesnt want to unlock on the passenger side. I would take the cover off the door and take a look at the lock and see if anything is frozen or held up.My friend had a 91 Shadow America, his locks were so shot, my key could unlock his car.
