Hello. I have a 2000 Ram 1500, 5.2L p/u that I bought new. Here is my problem. Just recently as I was driving, I have been hearing a "chirping" coming from under the hood. The same chirping as with a loose fan belt but it never occurred all the time and when it did occur, it went away quickly.

Well one day the chirping stopped and then my check guage light went on and my lights went dim and my amperage guage went from normal down to rock bottom.

Everytime I go to start the vehicle, it starts normally, then after about 10 seconds, the check guage light goes on and the amp meter hits the bottom.

Since then, I have replaced the battery, replaced the alternator with a "recycled" alt. that tested at 15 volts and replaced the serpantine belt.

After all that I am still getting the same "Check guage" problem as described above.

Any suggestions
