Fuel Pump Diagnostic - Dodge Colt Vista
The book (chilton) shows a fuel pump checker terminal under the hood on the passenger side for this 89 Dodge Colt Vista MPI 2.0 liter that i think has a bad fuel pump. i do not hear any sound when i turn on the key.
I did not open up any lines, but i figure that it will be the pump and wanted to know how the checker terminal works. Does one put 12 volts on it, (that would connect directly to the fuel pump)? Of course, when the pump is off, then one can connect 12 volts to it, but it is in the tank and thus is a lot of work.
