headlight fogging inside
I recently purchased a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500. The right side headlight is getting condensation inside. I not fimaliar with this type of light because I've always had older vechiles. Is this something I can fix, or do I need a new headlight housing. Thanks in advance for any help I may receive.
I have had this experience with my wife's millenia. Someone I work with helped me so I'll pass it on. The headlight is fogging up because moisture has became trapped inside the headlight and cant either evaporate or escape quick enough. Take the smallest drill bit possible and drill a teeny tiny hole in the bottom of the head light assy to give the moisture a place to escape. You can either drill in the front, backor under neath. I suggest drilling underneath or in the rear. You want the hole in a location that water or dirt will not easily be able to get into it, like when you are washing it or when your going down the road. (would probably be easier to remove the headlight assy to drill the hole) I hope this helps.
