Default Dual exhuast ROB power?

I have a 2003 dodge pickup with the hemi in it. I've been wanting to put true dual exhuast on it. Maybe even cut the catalitic converter(s) out for more exhaust movement. Has anyone had any luck with this? And if so what band exhuastdid you go with. Did you see any lose in performence in low end power? If anyone has any ideas or knowledge on this please let me know. I thankyou for your time.

welcome to DF...

dual exhaust if setup the right way can work great... open the exhaust too much and you'll loose the low end torque. check into a cross-over pipe, they are supposed to help torque.

Ihave a 05 ram andI put dual super40 flowmasters on it with turn downs but lost my bottom end. It made good power but the stock rev limiter kicks in before you can use it. SoI put a magnaflow tru x pipe in,there was a little improvment butI saw the best bottom end power with the stock muffler. I have a flowmaster super 40 dual in dual out with turn downs on the truck now so far it is better than the duals but i woulddefiantly recommendsticking to the single muffler setup. you mite have better out put if you ran pipe out butIprefer the turn downs so i've never tried. As for the removale of the cats i havent tried or herd of anyone who has but i would'nt recommend it.

if you want true duals on that truck you need to use a dual in dual out muffler preferably atru xmuffler for the correct balance. if you plan on running w/o cats the rear o2's need to be shimed out of the pipe by using spark plug anti foulers in the pipe then installing the o2 you may need up to 3 anti foulers per rear o2 sensor to keep the 420 and 430 codes from illuminating and yes if they test for emmisions you can pass on th computer side but will fail on a visual inspection by not having cats no need to by o2 sims for this a quality custom shop will be able to complete this system for around 1000-1200 out the door.I would reccomend 2.25 from the manifold to a tru x magnflow muffler after the muffler go 2.5 for the added flow from the x muffler topped off with 3.5 exiting diameter stainless tips and would have it all mandrel bent and tig welded.....why mandrel bentand tig welded because I have a mandrel benderanda tig and wouldn't build it any other way.
