Default Stock muffler without resonator

Hey guys, I bought my 2007 hemi ram a couple months ago and think it sounds a little tame from the outside. I want to give it a beefier tone outside without the resonance on the inside. I'm not sure that I want to invest in a new muffler or exhaust system yet. I'm on a tight budget and was wondering how everyone thought it would sound if I just had the resonator taken off and put pipe in it's place? Thanks.

It mgiht sound a little beefier yeah, but u have to realize that the reonance inside will be a lot greater do to more sound and airflow cruising through.

I appreciate the feedback. I kind of thought that might happen but didn't know if anyone has ever tried it. Thanks.

I put flowmasters on my Charger R/T and removed the resonators. Big mistake, even with the tight interior the drone was annoying to say the least. I put duals with flowmasters on my 04 Ram and the interior sound was enough to make normal conversation nearly impossible. I haven't done anything to my new 07 Hemi 1500, but I'll probably do like I ended up with the Charger R/T, put on flowmasters and keep the resonators on the truck. Sounds good at idle, not race car but good, and full throttle sounds really good in my opinion. It will also keep any shift point problems to a negligible level. At least I hope that is what happens.
